Magician Richard Vegas is a graduate of the prestigious National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) and with over 20 years on stage, in film, on radio and television, brings a wealth of experience and skill to every performance. Infusing magic's rich traditions with the edgy realism of modern street magic, Richard Vegas creates a unique and highly entertaining brand of performance. 

Once again based as a Melbourne magician, Richard Vegas has been a resident artist, entertainer and magician at Star City Casino over the last 11 years, as well as resident magician at The Docks Hotel in Darling Harbour in 2009 and a regular magician at El Circo at Slide and De Nom at Ruby Rabbit in Sydney. In 2008 Richard Vegas, and his company Magic Extraordinaire, were engaged by Coca Cola to create and perform customised magic to market and promote "Coke Zero" for a national touring campaign. In 2010, (with Madotti & Mada) Richard Vegas auteured “MADA vs VEGAS - The Dueling Magicians”; a full length magic show, which debuted in it’s entirety at the 2010 Adelaide Fringe Festival garnering excellent reviews and a subsequent season at the 2010 Melbourne Magic Festival. Notable recent performances include; feature act for the Gangsters Ball 2010 - Sydney, Brisbane & Melbourne and feature act for Burlesque Royale 2011 -The State Theatre, Sydney & The Palms at Crown Casino - Melbourne. Also recently launched, Madotti & Vegas' new stage production "Time Machine" @ Red Bennies in April 2011. Most recently, in 2010 and 2011 Richard Vegas has been engaged as Crown Casino's  “preferred magician for VVIP calibre events”.

MAGIC SHOWS

Richard Vegas can entertain with shows from 10 to 30 minutes. From a heart stopping Razorblade eating routine to the sublime Ancient Mystery of the Linking Rings. Richard Vegas elegantly presents his classic "parlour" magic act; "The Secret Salon" which involves interactions of mind-reading and displays of some of the most mind blowing magic effects with cards, borrowed objects and, by request, dangerous physical exhibitions involving knives, needles and razorblades. With conjuring, tricks of the mind, sleight of hand, illusions and suggestion, it is an exciting, captivating and refined form of entertainment.

Also available is the most unique and original magic stage shows; "Time Machine" or "The Carnival Of Dreams" - 2 unique shows with character, illusion and theatre. Shows can be booked entirely, as individual segments or as a tailored package to suit your event.
