Both Julia and Richard are trained actors and have both worked extensively in film, television and theatre. Richard is a NIDA graduate and was recently nominated for a Green Room Award for his performance in The STCSA/Malthouse co production of “Night Letters”. In 2007 Julia was nominated for Best Actress in the Asian Festival of First Films in Singapore for her performance in the lead role in the Australian feature film ‘Beautiful’.
Richard and Julia also have their own theatre company ‘Hatful Productions’ that saw them direct, produce and perform in ‘The Pitchfork Disney’, being the first independant production to open and perform in the Parade Studio Theatre at NIDA.
An emerging playwright Julia’s plays are currently being produced in Singapore and Malaysia after debuting in Sydney under Hatful Productions. In utilising their directorial, production and acting skills and performance and corporate event experience they have produced some of the most successful character roving acts in Australia.
